I held various writing and management positions at Cisco, starting with release notes. See Release Notes. As lead writer for Cisco Unified CallManager Express (Cisco Unified CME) and Cisco United Survivable Remote Site Telephony (Cisco Unified SRST), I wrote various release versions of the system administrator guides and command references, which are the central documents from which all of the other products' documents flow. I was also the documentation project manager. The writing team fluctuated from three to five writers. Version releases often included sixty plus features. Figure 1 and Figure 2 show the documentation sets for these products.
Cisco Unified CME is an IP telephony product for small businesses (maximum of 250 phones per router). Cisco Unified SRST is a back-up software for Cisco Unified CallManager, Cisco's IP telephony product for large businesses (maximum of 7500 phones per router). Note that some of the links, such as end-user guides, point to multiple documents.
